If the GOP want spending cuts they need to cut their? own FUCKING spending!

Mike Spring says:

You think the? US has had ups and downs economically since the late 70′s right?
Wrong!
Since 1981 (and well before) when we hit the 1 trillion mark in debt, do you think we can speak of genuine periods of growth and decline?
If a teacher gets a raise every couple of years, but racks up a personal debt of 10 million on credit cards, would you call that prosperity?
THE GRAND ILLUSION – 16.5 TRILLION AND COUNTING.
For? decades, the rich got richer.
Now the 99% will have to suffer terribly for it.

Thank you. After studying? politics over the last couple of decades I know I hit that one right on the head.

I was alive when Reagan was in office — & while most of the nation suffered under his term — we had a real Depression? in most of Texas with half of the major banks collapsing.

MrMatthewlh says:

So now you want me to look up a DOD budget pdf when earlier you went on wikipedia? and said part of it was secret
So which is it a pdf or wikipedia?
The 633 billion is found on many websites
So far I can deduce that youre very bad at rounding, cant use or present facts and you’re very indesivice
I know the facts, and that we can’t keep borrowing money, we owe more money than all the other countries in the world combined
We have to be responsible and pay it back

captainpeabody says:

If you weren’t too fucking lazy to look this shit up yourself, you would know the facts and not be talking? out your ass, or The Huffington Posts ass.

captainpeabody says:

If you read my comments you will find the web address for the Government DOD Budget PDF, go read it, I did and I quoted it above in comment to you that you obviously did not read. Just copy, paste it and add the “h” to the ttp part of the address that I had to remove to get YouTube to accept my comment. The? other depts are just as easy to find as that one was. Like I said, I am not your Librarian, but here is the VA budget request address: va.gov/budget/products.asp Asshat!

plague1313 says:

Fuck government!!!?

Jack Hammer says:

Our government runs on the fiscal year, which ends in september…?

MrMatthewlh says:

If you make a claim you have to back it up yourself
If I think you’re wrong then you need to prove I’m wrong not for me to prove myself wrong by looking up your wrong claims
Think about how to have a debate, proving a? case by showing facts
usdebtclock org
This shows the numbers plain & simple
And they dont add up, you see I make a case then I back it
Perhaps you dont like living in reality where facts take presidence, which is why you would rather use your philosophy than presenting facts

Jack Hammer says:

Sorry, but you need a? refresher course in economics, for Reagan faced an even worse economy than Obama. Interest rates were over 20%. You probably weren’t even alive then. Look at the economy at the end of his term, not the beginning. btw, since you hopefully get a paycheck on the 15th, guess what, Obama raised your taxes. Nothing funnier than seeing the middle class figure out they’ve been lied to.

DillonDee1 says:

This mess got out of hand with Reagan’s so-called Supply-Side economic theory.

Even? Reagan’s own advisors said it was just “Vodoo Economics”

And it was as the Debt as a % of GDP soared!

captainpeabody says:

I did cite my sources.? You can look up any government departments on? the web, just type in your search VA budget 2013, or Military, or DOT, then go to what ever dot gov site it brings up. Anyway, Go look this shit up yourself I am not your librarian. As to what is my point, I stated it in the first post I made and you replied to, “We are not broke” if we have all this money for the military we have money for everything else first and fuck these foreign adventures our military is being used for.

Jack Hammer says:

That? was good….

MrMatthewlh says:

Cite your sources
Whats your point anyway?
Are you? purposesly showing more things we can’t afford and dont need, to further prove that we can eliminate them?

forbes com/sites/merrillmatthews/2012/10/12/military-families-get-a-2400-bill-from-obamacare/
That’s why the VA may need more money because Obamacare is destroying VA insurance

captainpeabody says:

Just so you know The Veterans Affairs Department’s resource request for 2013 is $140.3 billion. Adding that on to the Military Budget brings it to over 750 Billion dollars,? and I still have not included Homeland, DOE, CIA, SS, or DOT. Are you getting a clue yet? The military budget is not just the request from the DOD, it is that plus much much more.

captainpeabody says:

What the hell makes your Huffington Post figures better than mine? If Wikipedia is not accurate enough for you here is the actual budget which makes us both wrong on the base number requested.: ttp://comptroller.defense.gov/defbudget/fy2013/FY2013_Budget_Request_Overview_Book.pdf
DOD:2012: 645,707,586,000, and 2013: 613,931,587,000? does not include money in the DOE, DOT, VA, SS, CIA and Homeland Security Budgets that is used by the military, which brings the total to well over $1trillion.

captainpeabody says:

The numbers I gave you are as accurate as possible because so much of the defense budget is hidden in the DOE, DOT, VA, SS, Homeland, and other budgets. Did you at least look at my source because the 633 you keep referring to is wrong even if you don’t believe the rest. The nominal defense budget for 2012 was $680 billion not counting all the hidden stuff. The entire federal budget is running on a continuing resolution and no real budget has been passed since 2010.?

authenticmind says:

NO it is not the loan officer asking for anything except for the payment of money already on loan. Not voting to pay the debt limit is the same as saying “I’m not paying my bills!” People should better understand what they are talking about before they speak!!!!! The last time they didn’t vote to pass the debt limit is lowered our credit rating and increased our interest rate costing us billions to pay the higher rate. If you want to lower future debt this is NOT the place? to take a stand.

authenticmind says:

Michigan should be ashamed to send such a dumb ass to Washington. We can’t refuse to pay our bills, it costs us billions in interest to lower our credit rating. The idiots that think the debt ceiling is about lowering debt are just crazy. Where we lower debt is in spending legislation not in voting to pay what congress has already spent. Can it be that we really have such dumb asses in congress?? Obviously!

Today, Valley Forge’s wide fields are dotted with revolutionary relics, reminders of the brutal winter endured by Washington’s troops.

dustynbones says:

This is past and beyond insane academics and mathamatics.

The banker is asking where is all of the money gone that I have lent to you over the last 35 years! Where is the money going? Where is my return on my investment? These are the sane and simple commonsense questions that are asked from a loan officer.?

how? is lifting the federal debt ceiling going to help?
